Channels distribution; logistics concepts; customer satisfaction and logistics; inventory management and control; strategic warehousing and transportation decisions; warehouse design; packaging; logistics information systems; performance measurement; logistics quality; logistics planning and strategy.
Objectives
The learning goals associated with this unit are to:
- explain the strategic and operational roles of logistics in the retail organisation
- apply logistics theory and concepts to the analysis of the logistics processes of a retail organisation
- identify issues in managing retail logistics functions effectively.
