HED5004 - Negotiated project

6 points, SCA Band 0 (NATIONAL PRIORITY), 0.125 EFTSL

Postgraduate Faculty of Education

Leader(s): Associate Professor A Onsman

Clayton First semester 2009 (Day)

This unit requires participants to design and undertake a project that directly builds on the content of the previous three units in the course. Participants choose any area of teaching and learning relating to their own teaching practice in higher education, then plan, negotiate and conduct a project to investigate and improve their own teaching practice. The project is conducted within the HED5004 semester.

The negotiated project is designed to bring about an increased awareness in teaching practice, improve student learning, integrate learning from the GCHE course and broaden experience with online learning systems available at Monash University.

There are four assessment tasks: an initial project outline, a negotiated project management plan, a final project report and a short review of another unit participant's project.
