Gippsland First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisPrepares students to enter the workforce with a practical insight into the socio-political/economic/administrative realities of health care system. Students develop a clear understanding of the role and employer expectations of a division 1 registered nurse, and prepare for obtaining employment and developing a career plan. Management of self and others, organisational structures, political and economic processes/constraints, evaluation of leadership, teamwork, risk management and decision making. Bridges the gap between educational preparation and transition to practice by refining clinical problem solving, time management and communication skills utilising nursing scenarios. Objectives
