Gippsland Second semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit provides students with an historical and contemporary overview of Australian Indigenous Art.The unit contextualises the place of Art in Indigenous culture posing interesting questions and points of view in relation to links to Country, diversity of Indigenous society and art used as a voice piece. The unit will also examine the growth in the participation of Indigenous artists in the marketplace and issues of copyright and intellectual property. Objectives
On completion of this unit students will:
