AFX4110 - Advanced research methods6 points, SCA Band 3, 0.125 EFTSLUndergraduate, Postgraduate Faculty of Business and EconomicsOfferedClayton Second semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisThis unit provides students with an advanced applied perspective to a broad range of research methodology and testing procedures used in accounting and finance research. Students who have completed this unit should, at an advanced level, be able to collect qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of research techniques; to apply advanced statistical techniques to the analysis of quantitative data; to design non-probability and probability samples; to deal with advanced issues in cross-sectional, panel and time series data and to conduct research ethically.
