BIS honours degree aims to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of an
area of study relevant to information management and systems, to provide a
preparation for further research, and to prepare students for advanced
professional practice.
Entry requirementsEntry to the honours degree will require completion of the BIS pass degree (or equivalent degree from another university) with a grade average of at least credit in the third-year information management and systems units. Course structureCourse requirementsThe course consists of one unit, IMS4000 (Information management and systems honours), which encompasses both coursework (including a compulsory research methods component IMS4036) and a 24-point thesis. Each student's course of study in IMS4000 will require approval by the head of school.
