The my.monash Steering Committee

What is the my.monash Steering Committee?

The my.monash Steering Committee acts as a governing body which guides and reviews the strategic direction of the my.monash portal. The Steering Committee is comprised of major portal stakeholders, and senior staff from the four overarching portfolios represented by the my.monash portal: Administration, Community, Learning and Teaching, and Research.

The my.monash Steering Committee operates within specific and documented terms of reference (Word 42Kb)to ensure that the my.monash portal is developed in accordance with its guiding principles (Word 49Kb), including:

  • To be accessible for all users regardless of location, platform or disability.
  • To be user focused by maintaining user centred design principles and standards, and a distinctive user interface.
  • Content and links on my.monash are relevant and dynamic.
  • my.monash facilitates community.
  • Content is personalised and customisable.
  • Committment to users' privacy and security of their data.
