Portal personalisation and customisation

Each user's my.monash portal is personalised according to attributes from the Monash directory (LDAP), against which the system authenticates during login. Personalised access means that the portal reflects the roles and responsibilities of the user, giving them access to information relevant to them.

Standard attributes on which information is profiled includes, but is not limited to:

  • nature of the user's role within the university
  • user's faculty affiliation
  • user's campus location.

In addition, users can customise many aspects of their portal: colour scheme, text size, layout, email options, and more. They can also enable a Dashboard onto which they can add widgets for most of the services provided in the portal. Select the link to ‘Customise’ in the top right corner of the my.monash portal.
