Update: Since GEMPACK Release 10.0-001 (April 2009), the 9 sector/region limit (mentioned below) is extended to 12 sectors or regions.
This applies if you want to carry out simulations with the standard GTAP model with up to 9 commodities and 9 regions. This does not apply if you need to modify the standard GTAP model.
You can work with RunGTAP as supplied by GTAP. You do not need to purchase GEMPACK or a GEMPACK licence.
This applies if you want to carry out simulations with the standard GTAP model with more than 9 commodities and/or 9 regions. This does not apply if you need to modify the standard GTAP model.
You need to purchase an Introductory GEMPACK licence.
This applies if you need to modify the standard GTAP model (that is, if you want to change any of the equations or want to add some new equations) but are content to work with up to 9 commodities and 9 regions.
You need to purchase the Limited Executable-Image Version of GEMPACK.
This applies if you need to modify the standard GTAP model and need to work with more than 9 commodities and/or 9 regions.
You need to purchase either the Unlimited Executable-Image Version of GEMPACK or a Source-Code Version of GEMPACK.
