Major Theme: Practical Policy Analysis

The conference will focus on the role of model based analysis in policy formation. Most of the plenary sessions, invited speakers, etc. will have this practical policy orientation. The conference will conclude with a panel to assess the contribution of the work presented from the practical policy perspective. Submissions can cover any aspect of the quantitative analysis of economic issues. Particular emphasis will be placed on applied general equilibrium methods, data and applications. Papers dealing with trade policy, environment and other global issues will be particularly welcome but no policy areas will be excluded.

You may wish to view the types of papers presented at the 1999 conference. These papers fell into three broad categories: methodological developments data base developments, and empirical applications.
