CoPS holds a weekly workshop in Economic Modelling. This is held in the CoPS Conference Room, 1164, 11th Floor, Menzies Building on most Thursdays from 1.00-2.00pm. Details of the programme can be obtained from the convenor Xiujian Peng.

Research carried out by graduate students is an important part of the CoPS research programme. Section 5 of the Annual Report (see above) contains information about the current Ph.D. students and their research projects.
The Third Annual Conference on Global Economic Analysis was held in Melbourne, Australia in June 2000. This conference was organised by CoPS in conjunction with The Center for Global Trade Analysis, Purdue University, USA
On Friday 1 August 2003 CoPS hosted a one-day regional conference entitled The City & The Bush.
