Clubs and Societies at Parkville

Starting uni without your comfy group of high school friends can really be quite daunting, and even with the hustle and movement of O-week one can feel left out. One of the best things to do to get rid of this feeling and to really get involved in uni and have fun is to meet people – and joining or learning about a club is the easiest and most fun way about it!

Joining one, or many, of the clubs that VCP has to offer will undoubtedly set you off on a running start in meeting your new uni mates as it will give you something to joke about, and things to look forward to. The more active you are, the more fun you’ll have, guaranteed.

VCP is not in lack of great clubs either – we have social clubs like ASEAN, professional fun clubs like the Victorian Parkville Students’ Association, religious clubs and clubs just for everyone. Getting involved and becoming a committee member will broaden your horizons enormously and you’ll find you’ll always have a friendly face around. Becoming members of clubs will ensure you great deals and just awesome fun times.

Ever since I started uni here at VCP, I’ve been involved with MPSA, the campus’ student association. Just previously, I was the Vice President and we had a wonderful committee. As a group, we were dedicated to run great events, offer student services and generally be helpful and fun. I know that since joining, I’ve gained so much - friends, leadership, people and organisation skills.

I cannot emphasise just how many students can gain from simply getting involved in any of the clubs that are around. Check them out in O-week and GET INVOLVED!!!
