These step-by-step instructions include screen shots to help you create your Orientation plan.
By selecting information about your campus, faculty and study mode, the ePlanner will provide you with a list of relevant orientation events.
From the list of compulsory and optional events, you can view and select activities to create your own orientation plan. You can then print, email or add your activities to your calendar.

Enter your details - SCREEN 1You must make a selection for each section on screen 1. Select your main campus. If you study at more than one campus, you need to run the ePlanner again for each campus. If studying a double degree, select your managing faculty. |
View and select events - SCREEN 2A list of relevant events will display. These are made up of:
Each event title has an Expand button. Click this to display the event details such as date, time and location. Once expanded, the button changes to Collapse. On the right of the screen is a 'Selected events' box, which acts as a shopping cart. You can add or remove selected events to create your Orientation plan. |
Selecting compulsory eventsThe first section lists compulsory events. You must attend all of these events. These include campus welcomes and faculty orientations providing essential information for new students. The fastest way to add these events is to use the add all events link. Some events require you to register by linking to a website or booking system. |
Selecting compulsory course and unit-related eventsThe second section lists compulsory events related to your course. Not all of these events may be relevant to you. Check the details using the Expand button. You must attend events that are relevant to your course. Some events have multiple sessions. Choose the one that suits you. Add events using the Add to plan link. You will see this link once you expand an event. |
Selecting optional eventsThe optional events list allows you to search by date using the drop-down list. Optional events are grouped and colour-coded with labels Housing, Library Social, Study, Sport and Support. The list headers are links, allowing you to sort alphabetically or by event type. To select optional events, expand the event details and click the Add to plan link. |
Tips for a clash-free Orientation planUse the shopping cart to compare the times of selected events with others you are interested in to avoid schedule clashes. If there are any schedule problems, remove events and select alternatives. |
