Hi everyone, and welcome to the Peninsula campus in 2012. On behalf of all the staff and students from MONSU, we hope your time at uni is a good one! For some of you, this is going to be the first time studying outside of school, and one thing you will discover is that uni is nothing like school was. The time you spend at uni should be about more than just coming along to class and getting your degree, it is the time in your life where you are still young, but old enough to enjoy it in the best way.
As your student union, MONSU helps you to get the most out of your time at uni. What we do ranges from providing essential services, such as student rights, advocacy and clubs and societies, to running many of the amazing parties and events that you will see around campus. Best of all, as a student at Monash Peninsula, you are automatically a member of MONSU for free! We want your time at uni to be as fun and memorable as possible, so whether it's academic support you need, or want to meet new people at one of our amazing parties, we are here for you!
Best of all, MONSU is run by students, so not only do we know what it's like being brand new to uni (though for some of our reps, that was quite a few years ago), we also give every student the opportunity to be part of the MONSU student council. If you wanted to get involved by representing your faculty on our education committee, representing all first-years as the first-year rep, or helping plan our parties as part of the activities committee, then come to the service desk to see how to get involved.
