On behalf of the Monash Parkville Students' Association (MPSA), I'd like to welcome you all to Monash University and the Parkville campus!
MPSA is the faculty-based student association for undergraduate students here at Parkville. Our main role is to represent the students and voice their opinions and ideas. MPSA's services ensure students have a complete university experience, keeping them happy and immersed in an enjoyable but academic atmosphere.
Throughout the year, we provide help, support, opportunities to improve student life and social events! MPSA's social events make university life enjoyable, and I can guarantee you'll always be looking forward to the next event. Events include Orientation Boat Cruise, Orientation Camp, a Lounge Night and the famous MPSA Annual Ball, just to name a few.
Monash Parkville owes its reputation for being one of the better campuses in Melbourne to its smaller than usual size. The friendships made at this campus are often much stronger than those formed at the larger campuses, creating a close knit community of friends which helps propel the students through university life while ensuring adequate amounts of enjoyment along the way.
MPSA will be there to help you guys reach the elusive balance between study and play, providing guidance whenever needed. Don't be shy to come and talk to us if you have any questions or any suggestions, no matter how small they may be. Everyone on committee is nice and would be more than happy to help out a first year, because we've all needed help before.
Don't be scared to get involved in university life. Embrace what MPSA and Monash Parkville have to offer, and you will find that your university experience becomes much more memorable and exciting; while opening new doors for future career opportunities.
