During your time with us you will have access to the highest level of teaching and exposure to contemporary research evidence that will inform your studies.
Our campus is a lively and diverse place where you will meet students from all over Australia and other parts of the World. As a student here, you will receive a high level of support and contact with lecturers, tutors and support staff who are friendly and approachable. The Campus offers excellent facilities and a delightful environment that make this a great place to study and live.
If you are new to the area you will find the Gippsland region has a lot to offer. Apart from the excellent social activities offered on campus, you can also take advantage of the lively social scene in local towns such as Traralgon. The area has numerous leisure and cultural opportunities including beautiful beaches, national parks, snowfields and historical sites. The locals will also make you feel welcome and the township of Churchill provides a good range of shopping and other services to meet your everyday needs.
Orientation marks the beginning of the academic year and is the perfect time to learn all about the wide range of services and facilities available to you on and off campus. So use this opportunity to acquaint yourself with the friendly staff and students, find out what clubs and societies are available to you, how to access the library's many resources, locate your classes, meet your lecturers, and enjoy yourself along the way.
I hope your time at the Gippsland Campus will be a great academic experience with all the excitement that goes with university life.
Best wishes for 2009 and I look forward to seeing you around the campus.
