Congratulations and welcome from the Monash Student Association (MSA)!
The MSA represents all Clayton students, and is the heart of campus life. We fund Clubs and Societies, Music on Menzies, Sir Johns Bar, Wholefoods, the John Medley Library, the Monash University Student Theatre (MUST), Host Scheme plus a range of activities like After Exams Parties (AXP). Join as many clubs and attend as many events as you can - they are a great way to meet people.
Through activism and lobbying, the MSA works to ensure the quality and equality of education here at Monash. In the past, we have campaigned successfully for better public transport and for Youth Allowance reform. We also seek to address broader social issues through campaigns, organised by our Queer, Women's, Welfare, Indigenous and Environment and Social Justice Officers. If there is an issue you are passionate about, get involved.
We are also here to help. Our Student Rights office can help with all your academic issues and the Welfare Department provides a free dinner in the Airport Lounge from 7:30 every Monday night. Similarly, Welfare's Survival Centre is always open for those who need free clothing and household goods.
To support the work the MSA does, buy an MSA card. As an MSA member, you will be providing valuable funding to keep representation, campus life, support and activism alive on campus. It will also provide you with discounts to activities, clubs and food venues on and off campus!
