- Go to introductory lectures, labs, workshops and tutorials offered by your faculty
- Meet your academics
- Find out what research projects they are involved in
- Discover career outcomes
- Find out what other services they offer

Get into study mode
|
- Plan your study time well, divide it between reading and assignments
- Develop a routine
- Don’t leave things until the last minute
- If you’re not sure, ask questions in your tutorial or post a message on the online forum

Grab a Student Diary
|
- The diary will help you navigate your way through the year. It includes important dates and a resource guide. Haven’t got one yet? Visit the Student Service Centre or Hub on your campus.

Make the most of Orientation

O’Week (Orientation Week) is the first official week of semester

Go on a campus tour
|
- Join a campus tour lead by senior students

Find what you need to begin your course

Sign up for tutorials/lab classes

- When designing your timetable think about the time it will take to get from one place to another. Maybe check out a campus map before you start.

Get to know your student association and join a club or society

Submit your Orientation evaluation survey
|
- Win a prize by providing feedback to help us improve Orientation. We’ll email you the link to the Orientation survey as soon as it opens.

And last but not least - have fun
|
- Join in Orientation activities, ask questions, chat to people and get a feel for uni life. Remember, everyone is new, just like you, so don't be shy. Get involved and you'll have a ball.
