Hello and welcome to all new students. The team at Monash Union of Berwick Students (MUBS) are greatly looking forward to having you join our exciting university community, as I hope you are as well.
Firstly I would like to extend my congratulations for being accepted into Monash University. I know that you will have a great time while you are here and I encourage you to not only work hard at your studies, but also have fun while at Berwick.
Berwick campus, although being quite a small community has a very personal and welcoming environment, and we are looking forward to welcoming you. The benefits of being at a smaller campus include that it may enhance your ability to learn, along with lots of opportunities to be involved.
The people you should get to know while you are in Berwick are your MUBS committee members. MUBS is the student union for Berwick and we are responsible for student rights and student issues. Not only are we responsible for the welfare of Berwick students, we are also responsible for all the fun stuff that will be happening around campus during the year, including parties and the MUBS Ball, to name a few. There is lots we can help you with.
MUBS is in charge of all your Orientation Week social activities. I implore you to get involved in some, if not all, of the Orientation Week activities as this is one of the best times to meet new friends and get involved in university life.
