Berwick Student President's Welcome

May I first begin by saying congratulations on being accepted to Monash University and for picking such a fine campus.

Monash Berwick is a very lively place, which I am sure your all about to find out.

My first word of advice to all you new students out there is to manage your time efficiently now that you are about to become somewhat independent in what you study and how much study you actually do.

My second word of advice is to make sure you participate in all that our fine university has to offer, as whilst we are all here to study and better ourselves you need to ensure you enjoy yourself whilst you are here.

There are many ways to do this, but I would like to urge you all to become members of the Monash Union of Berwick Students (MUBS) for just a small cost. This ensures that all students on campus have a voice and are represented on campus when thing aren't going as smoothly as they could be. Becoming a member of MUBS provides far more than just a voice it will also give you a range of benefits such as cheap food and beverages from the bar, discounted entry to social events and many other benefits from services provided on and off campus.

I look forward to meeting you all during O-Week you'll find myself and most of the MUBS crew hanging round the student lounge, so just pop in and say hi because we have heaps of events planned for you. Make sure you get the week (and weekend) off work and come down and party with us and get involved in all that O-Week has to offer before we kick off what is shaping to be a fantastic year.
