Senior management responsibility for occupational health and safety
Senior managers include members of the senior executive, deans and directors of divisions and controlled entities.
You must:
- Hold staff in supervisory or management roles accountable for managing OHS matters in their areas
- Use a risk based approach for managing OHS
- Provide adequate budget for OHS programs
- Regularly discuss OHS issues at meetings of faculties, divisions or senior management
- Monitor and regularly review OHS performance
