Services and support for off-campus studentsAs Australia’s largest university, Monash University offers a wide range of courses and study options, meaning more choice and flexibility for you. You can study part-time or full-time, choose single or double degrees and create a study schedule to fit your lifestyle. Choose from a range of postgraduate research or coursework programs, or a combination of both. Most off-campus students choose to study part-time. And you’ll never be without support. Teaching staff can provide academic assistance by telephone, letter, fax, email, discussion groups and other forms of online communication. Off-campus students have access to all the support services available to on-campus students. You can access some of these services online or by telephone. Where possible, you can visit your nearest campus for further assistance.

Postal loans and journal article serviceBooks and photocopies of book chapters or articles will be posted directly to students from the campus libraries holding these materials. Students can order books and journal articles online via the library's catalogue and submit information requests by telephone, fax or email. Library resources and services onlineOff-campus students can use the Monash University Library website to access online resources (such as the catalogue, databases, electronic journals and books), help services, including the online chat help service, and online tutorials in using the library, as well as general information about the library. Monash branch librariesOff-campus students can borrow books, do photocopying and use electronic services when they visit any branch of the library on any Monash campus. Audio recordings of lectures onlineAudio recordings of some lectures are available online via Monash University Lectures Online. The recordings, which cover some 200 undergraduate subjects across all faculties, are available for audio streaming immediately after lectures are held. Information desk/help deskA telephone service is available during the academic year from 9 am - 9 pm, Mondays to Thursdays, 9 am - 5.30 pm on Fridays, and 1 - 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Language and academic skills support for off-campus studentsThe Language and Learning Services unit offers programs to students wishing to improve the quality of their academic English. Programs are free of charge and available to all students enrolled at Monash University.
Students requiring English language assistance before enrolment should consult with the Monash University English Language Centre. Off-Campus Students AssociationYou need never feel alone. Monash University has an Off-Campus Students Association, which offers support through a mentoring program and assistance in connecting you with other students and academic staff. Health and WellbeingHealth and Wellbeing offers services to all Monash University students in the areas of spirituality, counselling, childcare, financial aid, housing advice and health and medical assistance.
