How to apply

Australian and international students can apply to study in the off-campus learning (OCL) mode.

Due to visa regulations, study via off-campus learning is not allowed for international students studying within Australia. However international students residing overseas are able to study in off-campus mode.

If you are choosing a combination of off-campus and on-campus study, apply via on-campus method.
If you are applying for one of the off-campus learning courses, you MUST seek course advice regarding unit selections before submitting your off-campus learning application.

Step 1 - Complete the application

Applications closing dates

  • Semester 1, 2010: Friday 27 November, 2009, however applications received after this date may be considered until Friday 15 January, 2010.
  • Semester 2, 2010: For most courses, off-campus applications close mid-June 2010. Late applications may be accepted, please check the relevant Faculty/School website for further information.

Step 2 - Gather supporting documents and forms

Make sure you provide us with certified copies of supporting documents.

Please also submit any supporting application forms, if required, such as an application for Credit/Advanced Standing.

Step 3 - Wait for the letter of offer

Successful applicants will be sent a letter of offer, along with other important information. Once you have received your letter of offer you can accept, refuse, or defer it.

Step 4 - Accept your offer (enrol)

The next step is to enrol. Off-campus learning students normally accept their enrolment by mail.  See the enrolment information for further details.

Offers are normally valid for 14 days after the letter has been sent. Failure to accept the offer of a place within this period will result in the offer being recorded as lapsed and the place made available to another candidate.
