Entry requirementsMonash University accommodates Off-Campus Learning applicants with a variety of academic backgrounds and work experience, subject to the minimum entry requirements being met. Undergraduate coursesMost students preparing for undergraduate courses have finished the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an equivalent qualification. The minimum requirements for entry to Monash University will be met by satisfactory completion of the VCE, including satisfactory completion of Units 3 and 4 English (any). Interstate and overseas applicants must satisfy entry requirements with comparable Year 12 qualifications. Applicants who have satisfied the entry requirements of a recognised Australian university outside Victoria are usually required to have undertaken an accredited Year 12 course in English. Overseas qualifications in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. International BaccalaureateThe university accepts the successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma as satisfying the academic requirements for admission to undergraduate courses. Post-secondary qualificationsMinimum entry requirements for Monash University also will be satisfied by completion of the first year of an associate diploma or advanced certificate course offered by a TAFE institute with scored or graded results, or by two semester-length units of a course or non-degree studies taught by a university. The university does not recognize the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) as the sole means of meeting entry requirements.
