VC Awards
Recipients of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff.

Monash leaders in business, human rights law and mathematical science were among those honoured at the recent Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff.

Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Ed Byrne personally presented awards to the three individual recipients, as well as members of the Higher-DREAM project.

Individual recipients were Melissa Dibben from Faculty of Business and Economics, Marius Smith, Castan Centre for Human Rights Law and Gertrude Nayak, School of Mathematical Sciences.

Members of the Higher-DREAM project included Phoebe Chan, Lakshmi Doddi, Alice Goenawan, Guido Farnell, Jennifer Kennedy, Michelle Lopez, Vesna Nikolovski, Dhanuka Perera, David Saint, Michael Streeter, Tania Wilman and Stefan Ziemer.

The awards recognise the contributions of professional staff which exceed the normal requirements of their substantive positions.

Awards are made on the basis of one or more of the following criteria: contribution to the delivery of Monash Futures, improvement in service provision, provision of a high quality environment for students or staff, advantage gained through the use of technology, initiatives resulting in process efficiencies or cost containment or contribution of seamless operations in university administration.

Visit the Monash University website for details on the awards and criteria.
