Top Australian soprano features in Monash concert

One of Australia's finest sopranos, Annalisa Kerrigan, is a guest soloist in the Monash School of Music's final concert performance for the year on Saturday 9 October, 8pm , Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University, Clayton. The program includes Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana', selections from Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons', and Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'.
'Carmina Burana' will be brought to stunning life by the Monash Wind Symphony, Monash Viva Voce choir, the National Boys Choir, guest soloists, and singers from the Diamond Valley Singers and Melbourne University Choral Society. There will be more than 150 performers on stage for this theatrical masterpiece.
The concert also features outstanding violinist and regular Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performer Miki Tsunoda. She directs the Monash Chamber Orchestra strings playing the beautiful 'Adagio', and also performs Summer and Winter from the 'Four Seasons'.
Tenor Mark Fowler, who sang in the Melbourne Opera's 2004 performances of 'Rigoletto' and 'Madama Butterfly' is another notable guest soloist at the concert, conducted by Barry Bignell, who has guest conducted many Australian ensembles, including the West Australian and Adelaide symphony orchestras.
