The Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister, the Honourable Dato' Seri Syed Hamid Albar will deliver the keynote address at a free public forum in Melbourne on Friday 2 June.
The Monash Asia Institute is sponsoring the Malaysia Australia Forum in conjunction with the Australia-Malaysia Institute (Australian Department of Foreign Affairs) and Malaysia's Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI).
Seri Syed Hamid Albar will speak about the Australia-Malaysia relationship and how to deepen and strengthen ties.
His session will be chaired by the Chairman of the Australian Parliament's Australia-Malaysia Caucus, the Honourable Michael Johnson MP.
