Two teams of internationally respected Monash Law graduates will debate this topical and controversial legal issue at the annual Monash Great Law Week Debate tomorrow, Tuesday 23 May.
World Vision Australia Chief Executive Officer and social justice activist Mr Tim Costello AO, human rights advocate and barrister Mr Julian Burnside QC and former World debating champion Ms Meg O'Sullivan will argue for the affirmative.
Opposing them will be ABC radio presenter Mr Jon Faine; the Co-Convenor of Monash's Global Terrorism Research Unit, Dr David Wright-Neville; and former world debating champion Ms Kylie Lane.
Monash Law graduate Mr Will Fowles - who recently became the youngest ever member of the Melbourne Cricket Club Committee - will act as moderator.

The Monash Great Law Week Debate is hosted by the Monash University Law School as part of Victorian Law Week.
