The acclaimed children's play Who Sank the Boat? will be performed next month at Monash University's Alexander Theatre on the Clayton campus.
The play features eight stories adapted from books by multi-award-winning Australian writer Pamela Allen, including the much-loved Who Sank the Boat?, Mr McGee Goes to Sea, My Dog Maisie and The Bear's Lunch.
Who Sank the Boat? is directed by Dave Brownand and features actors Paul Blackwell, Eileen Darley, Heather Frahn and Vanessa Ellis.
The Director of Monash University Arts Centres, Ms Jan Clancy, said the play was great school holiday entertainment.
"Who Sank the Boat? is a treat for the young and young at heart," Ms Clancy said.
"The imaginative production uses a host of inventive theatrics including puppetry, operetta, mime, song and dance, and live music that combine beautifully for a memorable and enchanting theatre experience."
Monash will host two performances on 27 June at 10am and 1.30pm. For bookings telephone 9905 1111. Concessions are available.
Subscriptions to the 2006 Monash Performing Arts season are available now.
