'Partnering for Success -- Through Chinese eyes' symposium

The 'Australia-China interface in the global economy: Partnering for Success -- Through Chinese eyes' symposium aims to nurture high-level interaction between Australian and Chinese business leaders, academic experts and policy makers and subsequently inform the community and stimulate the exchange of ideas.

The symposium, to be held on Friday 12 May, is a joint initiative of Monash's Faculty of Business and Economics and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Melbourne.

Keynote speakers:

Mr Liang Shugen, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Melbourne will discuss 'China 's 11th Five-Year Plan -- Sino-Australian economic and trade potential'.

Mr Chen Zeng, Managing Director, CITIC Resources Australia, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in Melbourne will discuss 'Success via partnering -- The story of CITIC Australia'.

Mr Xu Siwei, Senior Vice-President, China Minmetals Corporation, will discuss 'Australia-focused strategic development -- The globalised China Minmetals Group.

When: Friday 12 May, 11.30 am -- 2 pm

Where: River Room 1, Crown Towers, Melbourne

Cost: $95 per person, including lunch.
