Some of Victoria's brightest minds will consider the complex problem of tackling global poverty at a Youth Forum to be held at Monash University this week.
The Monash University Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society will host about 60 VCE students from around Victoria at the forum, titled Poverty: A Global Challenge.
Monash Chapter President Ms Diana Diaz said the poverty forum followed the success of the inaugural forum held at Monash last year, which examined alternative fuels.
Ms Diaz said speakers from Monash University faculties and the non-government organisations Engineers Without Borders and Australian Volunteers International would give lecture-style presentations and run tutorials.
"It will really give the VCE students a taste of what to expect when they enter the world of university," Ms Diaz said.
