Academic and student services staff were on hand to discuss study options and outline extracurricular activities and facilities and services to visitors. There were also several exhibits and events.

"The Open Days were worthwhile and informative experiences for students, and the events greatly enhanced the profile of the campus," said the campus marketing manager, Mr Titian De Colle.

The Faculty of Information Technology hosted computer games including a Warcraft 3 tournament which attracted some of the country's top players. Local Area Network (LAN) games were organised by TX Solutions, a company founded by Monash South Africa IT graduates Mr Matthew Hodge and Mr Bradley Harrison.

At the Faculty of Arts, Sniffy the 'virtual mouse' provided demonstrations in psychology, while the Geography department in the Faculty of Arts featured interactive displays such as water testing.
