Student race car on show

A Formula One-style race car, designed and built by Monash Universityengineering students, will be put through its paces next Monday.

The car, which can go from zero to 100 kilometres in under four seconds, is the work of a large team of Monash mechanical engineering students.

They have built it to compete in a national race for student members of the Society of Automotive Engineers Australasia (SAE-A).

The Formula SAE-A race will bring together teams from universities across Australia on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December at Victoria University , Werribee.
