Victorian Attorney-General Mr Rob Hulls visited the Monash University Prato Centre recently to discuss ways in which his department can collaborate with the centre.
Mr Hulls toured the centre in July, where he met with centre director Professor Bill Kent. He described the Prato centre as "sensational, a really great development".
During his visit, Mr Hulls also met with Monash Professor The Honourable George Hampel QC and Law Adjunct Professor Felicity Hampel SC.
Professor Kent said Mr Hulls was enthusiastic about the centre and was keen to explore opportunities for collaborative activities.
"We have already had visits from Victorian Premier Mr Steve Bracks and Minister for Innovation Mr John Brumby, as well as former prime minister Mr Gough Whitlam," Professor Kent said.
"These visits send the message that the centre is becoming a very important Australian institution in Italy." |
