Economic and population growth have made the provision of efficient transport options a significant challenge. Yet countries around the world face similar transport problems to Melbourne.
In this lecture, held at part of Monash University's Research Month, Infrastructure Australia Chair Sir Rod Eddington will discuss how we can address congestion in a world where concerns about climate change are growing and the big decisions that need to be made now.
Sir Rod will also reflect on his international experience and a recent report to the Victorian Government outlining an $18 billion blueprint to improve transport links between Melbourne's eastern and western suburbs.
