The Gippsland School of Business and Economics sponsored the award for 'Personal and Other Services' at the recent Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards.
The winner of this category, Deanmac Emergency Services, exports its safety and protection expertise throughout Australia and overseas.
The Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards relies on category sponsorship each year to ensure the success of the awards.
Head of the School of Business and Economics at Gippsland, Professor Val Clulow said the School has a vibrant connection to the region.
"We actively support business excellence in quality teaching and research. Participation as a sponsor in the 2007 Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards is another way the Gippsland Campus is engaging with the local and wider community."
On receiving the award from Professor Clulow, Mr Andrew Tegart said that Deanmac's success at a national and international level showed that being in regional Victoria was no impediment to having a successful business. Deanmac Emergency Services were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The Gippsland Business Awards have been promoting and encouraging excellence in and recognition for Gippsland businesses since 1998. |
