The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) will award the inaugural Amy Gillett Foundation Scholarship at a special function tomorrow.
The Safe Family Scholarship is a three-year postgraduate tenure designed to fill a void in information surrounding bicycle crashes and interactions with other road users.
The scholarship honours Olympic cyclist Amy Gillett (maiden name Safe) who was tragically killed whilst training in Germany in July 2005.
The MUARC function will also recognise a number of other outstanding graduate and postgraduate achievements.
