Monash University Berwick will officially welcome their newest group of students on Monday 19 February at 9am, signalling the commencement of the 2007 university year.
Approximately 500 new students will undertake programs across the campus' three faculties, Arts, Business & Economics and Information Technology. Students from around Australia and the world have opted to begin their studies at the Berwick campus during 2007, with some domestic students making the journey from Darwin and international students travelling from as far away as Bangladesh.
At the February 19 event, an academic procession will precede a traditional Welcome to Country and greetings from Pro Vice-Chancellor and Academic Director Professor Phillip Steele and Mayor of the City of Casey Cr Colin Butler. Students will also be provided with an overview of student services and supports before taking a tour of their new home campus.
