Experts holding court on big issues

16 January 2007

Members of the Monash University community are available throughout the Australian Open for expert comment on a variety of subjects:

Players and fans firing up

Going into one of Australia's biggest sporting events, what kind of environment does this create for our athletes? Why do some sports fans take out their frustrations on each other? Dr Simon Moss is a key researcher in sports aggression motivation and anxiety.

Brand name awareness

Top athletes have built the reputations of clothing and sports apparel companies with their performances on and off the court. Associate Professor Francis Farrelly can give an insight into why the combination of athletes, sponsors and major sporting events have such market appeal and impact.
