Did you know?
30 April 2008
The Centre for Human Bioethics, one of the first research centres in the world devoted entirely to bioethics, was founded at Monash in 1980 by Dr Helga Kuhse and Professor Peter Singer.
Dr Kuhse served as director of the Centre until June 1999. Her research and commentary on the controversial issues of euthanasia
and a person's right to die has prompted worldwide debate.
