Monash Pharmacologists clean sweep prizes at a recent International meeting on G Protein-Coupled Receptors

The "Molecular Pharmacology of G Protein-Coupled Receptors, 2007" is the fourth in a series of focussed international meetings held on the east coast of Australia.
The meeting, presented by the Monash Drug Discovery Biology Initiative and Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists (ASCEPT), featured presentations from 17 internationally renowned speakers from all parts of the globe, including Canada, China, England, France, Japan, Scotland, USA, Switzerland and Australia.
Prizes, selected by international judging panels, were awarded for: Best Oral presentation by a student, Best Poster presentation by a student, and Best Poster presentation by a post-doctoral fellow. All three prizes were awarded to pharmacologists from Monash University.
The ASCEPT Oral Prize was awarded to Emma van der Westhuizen (Monash Pharmacology), the Monash Drug Discovery Biology Initiative Student Poster Prize was awarded to Michelle Halls and the Addex Pharmaceuticals Post-doctoral Poster Prize was awarded to Dr Vimesh Avlani, Pharmacology.
