IT Graduate receives Margaret Jennings Prize

Master of Information Management and Systems graduate, Katherine Gallen is the 2006 winner of the Margaret Jennings Prize.
The Prize is awarded annually by the Australian Society of Archivists to the best graduating student in the Master of Information Management and Systems from last year.
The prize is awarded at each university where there is an archives and records program and is named in memory of Margaret Jennings, a founding member of the ASA.
Victorian Convenor Rachel Naughton from the ASA awarded Katherine a certificate and a prize of $250.
The Australian Society of Archivists organised event, was held at the Caulfield Campus and was well attended by ASA members, Faculty of Information Technology staff, students and alumni.
Professor of Archival Systems, Sue McKemmish from the Faculty of Information Technology was the official MC for the evening.
Katherine Gallen is currently employed at the Department of Infrastructure as the current editor of the professional journal Archives and Manuscripts, published by the Australian Society of Archivists.
