Monash Tourism Research Unit Seminar - Clayton

The Monash University Tourism Research Unit (TRU) invites researchers and practitioners in tourism and other related fields to its 10th tourism research seminar, which will showcase a diversity of projects being undertaken by research staff, higher degree research students and invited guests.

Six projects at various stages of design and implementation will be presented. The schedule of presentations will allow plenty of time for questions and discussion. Topics include: the economic impacts of the carbon pollution reduction scheme on the Australian tourism industry; an evaluation of the relationship between emotional labour and visitor outcomes; analysing tourism and economic development; Victorian theme park attractions in the 1960s and 70s; health and wellness tourism in Australia; and the impact of incentives and interventions on the environmental behaviour of hotel guests.
