Do you have a Sri Lankan background?

  • Are both of your parents from the Sinhalese, Tamils or Burghers communities and born in Sri Lanka?
  • Were you born in Australia or migrated to Australia from Sri Lanka before age six?
  • Are you over 18 years?
  • Would you like to talk about what it has been like for you growing up in Australia with a Sri Lankan background?

I am looking for volunteers to be interviewed about what it means to be Sri Lankan in Australia. I am undertaking this research as a requirement for my PhD degree in Arts.

Your participation in interviews will contribute to an understanding of what Sri Lankan identities are really like and what it is like to grow up in Australia with a Sri Lankan background.

A gift voucher worth AUD $20 will be given as a gratitude for your time and participation.
