Australian Pork Limited (APL) Travel and Distinguished Visitor Awards - 2009

Australian Pork Limited recognises that travel is an essential component of the process of research and development and technology transfer. Each year funds are allocated to support travel to conferences and workshops where it can be shown to be of benefit to the Australian pork industry. Travel funds are limited and thus APL is unlikely to provide support for simply presenting a paper at a conference. APL expects those travelling to critically review papers presented and provide a report to APL that includes recommendations for industry.

The Distinguished Visitor award is primarily aimed at those industry personnel who are recognised for their contribution to their respective national/international industry specialty and would potentially be able to extend that expertise for the benefit of the Australian pork industry.

Applications for travel and distinguished visitor awards close on 1 March, 1 July, 1 October and 1 December.
