CMHSE Workshop - Planning your teaching

This workshop introduces the core components of a teaching plan and the process for developing a plan for your own teaching. The principles learnt in this topic are also applicable more generally to talks and presentations. The workshop focuses on:

• general principles of planning a teaching session
• teacher goals
• writing appropriate behavioural learning objectives
• the teaching plan format
• setting teacher and learner activities
• planning for levels of thinking and questions
• planning effective learning environments.
