Transcriptional Regulation of Complex Genetic Loci During Vertebrate Development - Clayton

Published: 10 June 2009

Professor Peter Rigby

The Institute of Cancer Research, London, UK.

Professor Rigby is the Chief Executive and Director of Research at The Institute of Cancer Research, recently ranked the top higher education institute for research in the UK. His research focuses on unraveling the mechanisms controlling the spatial and temporal regulation of gene expression and the signal transduction pathways leading to lineage and fate specification within the developing embryo. Using transgenic mice he has analysed the regulation of gene expression during the process of somitogenesis focusing on the myogenic transcription factors and homeobox genes.

All welcome.
