ATSE Clunies Ross Award 2009

Published: 10 June 2009

The award is designed to identify and make known those people who have, often against difficulties and always with persistent commitment, made important contributions to science and its application for the economic, social or environmental benefit of Australia.

Nominations are confidential and are sought in May on a national basis. The Award is formally presented and publicly announced at a ceremony and dinner to be held in Melbourne in April each year. Award recipients receive a unique 10 oz fine silver medal created by the Australian Mint and a certificate. The award is not competitive. Persons nominated for the award may be admitted, if the award Committee so recommends and the Governors agree, notwithstanding the number of nominations in any one year.

All persons are eligible for this award who satisfy the criteria (commitment, contribution, performance, persistence, and "going the extra mile").
