Early Life Trauma and Depression StudyPublished: 27 May 2009 The Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre and the Department of Psychology, Monash University are conducting a study on the relationship between traumatic experiences in childhood and later episodes of depression. At this stage we are particularly seeking adults who have no history of depression, but who have had one or more traumatic experiences in childhood (before the age of 18 years). Traumatic experiences might include:
Participation in this research project involves doing a questionnaire on experiences of childhood trauma, some memory tests and a session of MRI scanning to measure brain volume.
