Monash Uni Student Theatre (MSA) presents Blood Wedding - Clayton campus

Published: 13 May 2009

Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST) a department of the MSA proudly presents 'Blood Wedding' by Federico García Lorca. A new version by Ted Hughes. Directed by Celeste MacLeod.

'Blood Wedding' tells the tragic tale of two feuding families in a dark and fantastic world, as blood is spilt on the high mountains of rural Spain. Lorca's modernist masterpiece is a mesmerising exploration of the themes of passion and repression, as a young bride battles with creeds of tradition and duty to her family, whilst fighting her own illicit desire for another.

With rich symbolism and violent imagery, 'Blood' Wedding urges you to consider, how far will you go for love?
